# RF ONLINE NEXT vs StarForge Online

The clearest difference is rating: StarForge Online at 5.0 against RF ONLINE NEXT's 4.3. RF ONLINE NEXT's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 13 months) and ratings volume (560 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RF ONLINE NEXT sells 21 one-off in-app purchases and StarForge Online sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StarForge Online holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RF ONLINE NEXT has 560 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

RF ONLINE NEXT ships an update every 3 weeks, StarForge Online every 13 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
