# NoteSay Filelock vs PersonalProtection Ultra

The clearest difference is rating: PersonalProtection Ultra at 4.3 against NoteSay Filelock's 3.0. PersonalProtection Ultra also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (1K vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NoteSay Filelock sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.99 per 7 days and PersonalProtection Ultra sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PersonalProtection Ultra holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PersonalProtection Ultra has 1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

NoteSay Filelock ships an update monthly, PersonalProtection Ultra every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
