# Trouble Tree vs Shift

The clearest difference is update cadence: Shift at weekly against Trouble Tree's fortnightly. Shift also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trouble Tree sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Shift sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Trouble Tree ships an update fortnightly, Shift weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
