# Note.s Taking App vs Quarterdeck Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Quarterdeck Pro at 5.0 against Note.s Taking App's 4.5. Quarterdeck Pro also leads on ads (none vs shown). Note.s Taking App's advantage is ratings volume (28 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Note.s Taking App sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Quarterdeck Pro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Quarterdeck Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Note.s Taking App has 28 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Note.s Taking App ships an update every 10 days, Quarterdeck Pro every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
