# Cue Challenges vs Dream Journal

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Cue Challenges at 70 against Dream Journal's 4. Dream Journal's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cue Challenges sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Dream Journal sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dream Journal holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cue Challenges has 70 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Cue Challenges ships an update monthly, Dream Journal fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
