# Cupcake vs Tower Climber Chronicles

The clearest difference is rating: Cupcake at 4.1 against Tower Climber Chronicles's 3.2. Cupcake also leads on ratings volume (162 vs 21). Tower Climber Chronicles's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (57% vs 32%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cupcake sells 20 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per 7 days and Tower Climber Chronicles sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cupcake holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cupcake has 162 ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of Cupcake's written reviews are positive against 57% of Tower Climber Chronicles's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cupcake ships an update every 2 months, Tower Climber Chronicles every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
