# Palmyst vs Hardcore

The clearest difference is ads: Hardcore at none against Palmyst's shown. Hardcore also leads on ratings volume (20 vs 1). Palmyst's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Palmyst sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Hardcore sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Palmyst holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hardcore has 20 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Palmyst ships an update every 10 days, Hardcore every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
