# Unchaind vs Forge

Unchaind and Forge both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Forge's written reviews are positive against 58% of Unchaind's. Forge also leads on ads (none vs shown). Unchaind's advantage is ratings volume (44K vs 8) and chart position (#93 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Unchaind sells 24 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Forge sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Forge holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Unchaind has 44K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 58% of Unchaind's written reviews are positive against 100% of Forge's.

Unchaind ships an update every 2 weeks, Forge every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
