# Modo vs Packz

Modo and Packz both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 90% of Modo's written reviews are positive against 49% of Packz's. Modo also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Packz's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Modo against 4.7 for Packz. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 62K and 25K respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 90% of Modo's written reviews are positive against 49% of Packz's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 4, 2026.
