# CraftNote vs Superscribe

The clearest difference is ratings volume: CraftNote at 4.9K against Superscribe's 4. CraftNote also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CraftNote sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Superscribe sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for CraftNote against 4.8 for Superscribe. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CraftNote has 4.9K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CraftNote ships an update weekly, Superscribe every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
