# Focus Timer vs Progressive Focus

The clearest difference is update cadence: Progressive Focus at every 6 days against Focus Timer's every 3 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focus Timer sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Progressive Focus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Focus Timer ships an update every 3 months, Progressive Focus every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
