# Dead Format vs Track One

The clearest difference is update cadence: Dead Format at every 6 days against Track One's every 3 weeks. Dead Format also leads on ratings volume (112 vs 8). Track One's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Dead Format against 4.9 for Track One. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dead Format has 112 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Dead Format ships an update every 6 days, Track One every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
