# BrainDrain vs Glug

The clearest difference is update cadence: BrainDrain at every 4 days against Glug's every 6 weeks. BrainDrain also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). Glug's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BrainDrain sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Glug sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Glug holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BrainDrain has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

BrainDrain ships an update every 4 days, Glug every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
