# Goovup vs Aaru

The clearest difference is ads: Aaru at none against Goovup's shown. Goovup's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Goovup sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Aaru sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Goovup ships an update every 3 weeks, Aaru every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
