# TV Remote Plus vs RecordNow

The clearest difference is update cadence: TV Remote Plus at every 2 days against RecordNow's every 8 days. TV Remote Plus also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). RecordNow's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TV Remote Plus sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and RecordNow sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for TV Remote Plus against 5.0 for RecordNow. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TV Remote Plus has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TV Remote Plus ships an update every 2 days, RecordNow every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
