# Bookd vs Bookbit

The clearest difference is ads: Bookd at none against Bookbit's shown. Bookbit's advantage is update cadence (daily vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bookd sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Bookbit sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bookd ships an update every 3 weeks, Bookbit daily. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
