# GymLock vs Exerscroll Screen Time Control

The clearest difference is monetization model: GymLock at freemium against Exerscroll Screen Time Control's subscription. Exerscroll Screen Time Control's advantage is ratings volume (14 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GymLock sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Exerscroll Screen Time Control sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for GymLock against 5.0 for Exerscroll Screen Time Control. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Exerscroll Screen Time Control has 14 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
