# PrayLock vs Prayer Lock

The clearest difference is rating: PrayLock at 4.8 against Prayer Lock's 4.3. PrayLock also leads on ratings volume (395 vs 16). Prayer Lock's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (40% vs 29%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PrayLock sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Prayer Lock sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PrayLock holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PrayLock has 395 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of PrayLock's written reviews are positive against 40% of Prayer Lock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PrayLock ships an update every 10 days, Prayer Lock every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
