# Aelano vs ScriptPad

The clearest difference is rating: ScriptPad at 5.0 against Aelano's 4.6. Aelano's advantage is ratings volume (10 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aelano sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and ScriptPad sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ScriptPad holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aelano has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Aelano ships an update weekly, ScriptPad every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
