# Notaforte vs I'm Bored App

The clearest difference is rating: Notaforte at 4.9 against I'm Bored App's 4.6. Notaforte also leads on ratings volume (506 vs 47). I'm Bored App's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notaforte sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per 3 months and I'm Bored App sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notaforte holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notaforte has 506 ratings behind it against 47, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of Notaforte's written reviews are positive against 95% of I'm Bored App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Notaforte ships an update monthly, I'm Bored App fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
