# Notaforte vs Piano Tree

The clearest difference is update cadence: Piano Tree at every 5 days against Notaforte's every 3 weeks. Notaforte's advantage is ratings volume (507 vs 23) and rating (4.9 vs 4.7). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notaforte sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per 3 months and Piano Tree sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notaforte holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notaforte has 507 ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 89% of Notaforte's written reviews are positive against 86% of Piano Tree's.

Notaforte ships an update every 3 weeks, Piano Tree every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
