# ActionKit vs Lightning Sync

The clearest difference is update cadence: Lightning Sync at every 2 days against ActionKit's every 3 weeks. Lightning Sync also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ActionKit sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per year and Lightning Sync sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ActionKit ships an update every 3 weeks, Lightning Sync every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
