# ScreenApp vs FoxNote

The clearest difference is rating: FoxNote at 4.5 against ScreenApp's 4.0. FoxNote also leads on ratings volume (344 vs 111). ScreenApp's advantage is device support (4 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ScreenApp sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $5.00 per month and FoxNote sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FoxNote holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 111 and 344 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of ScreenApp's written reviews are positive against 29% of FoxNote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ScreenApp ships an update every 10 days, FoxNote fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
