# ReadyPlan vs Ham Shack

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Ham Shack at none against ReadyPlan's 6. Ham Shack also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). ReadyPlan's advantage is ratings volume (45 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.5). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ReadyPlan sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Ham Shack asks for nothing beyond the download.

Ham Shack holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ReadyPlan has 45 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ReadyPlan ships an update every 2 weeks, Ham Shack weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
