# BlockedTrax vs Planning Center

The clearest difference is rating: Planning Center at 4.6 against BlockedTrax's 2.6. Planning Center also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 11 days vs monthly). BlockedTrax's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BlockedTrax sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Planning Center asks for nothing beyond the download.

Planning Center holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Planning Center has 37 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of BlockedTrax's written reviews are positive against 45% of Planning Center's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BlockedTrax ships an update monthly, Planning Center every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
