# NotesXP vs CoTutor

The clearest difference is rating: NotesXP at 4.8 against CoTutor's 2.0. NotesXP also leads on ratings volume (53 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NotesXP sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and CoTutor sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NotesXP holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NotesXP has 53 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

NotesXP ships an update every 11 days, CoTutor every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
