# NotesXP vs Thryve

The clearest difference is ads: NotesXP at none against Thryve's shown. NotesXP also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.4) and iOS requirement (15.8 vs 17.0). Thryve's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 11 days) and review sentiment (100% vs 86%). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NotesXP sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Thryve sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NotesXP holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 53 and 28 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of NotesXP's written reviews are positive against 100% of Thryve's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NotesXP ships an update every 11 days, Thryve every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 15, 2026 respectively.
