# NotesXP vs ChatEDU

NotesXP and ChatEDU both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of ChatEDU's written reviews are positive against 86% of NotesXP's. NotesXP's advantage is ratings volume (55 vs 4). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NotesXP sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and ChatEDU sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ChatEDU holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NotesXP has 55 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 86% of NotesXP's written reviews are positive against 100% of ChatEDU's.

NotesXP ships an update every 11 days, ChatEDU every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
