# TransKit vs RateTracker

The clearest difference is rating: RateTracker at 4.1 against TransKit's 3.4. RateTracker also leads on ratings volume (5.5K vs 59) and chart position (#113 vs unranked). TransKit's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 8) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RateTracker sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. TransKit asks for nothing beyond the download.

RateTracker holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RateTracker has 5.5K ratings behind it against 59, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of TransKit's written reviews are positive against 10% of RateTracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TransKit ships an update every 11 days, RateTracker every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
