# Random Filter vs Match Challenge

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Random Filter at 4.6K against Match Challenge's 25. Match Challenge's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Random Filter sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $3.59 per 7 days and Match Challenge sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Match Challenge holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Random Filter has 4.6K ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Random Filter ships an update fortnightly, Match Challenge every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
