# Foreign Language Ear Training vs VocaHero

The clearest difference is ads: Foreign Language Ear Training at none against VocaHero's shown. VocaHero's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.2). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Foreign Language Ear Training sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and VocaHero sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Foreign Language Ear Training ships an update every 3 weeks, VocaHero weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
