# TPC Connect vs CollegeSwipe

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: TPC Connect at none against CollegeSwipe's 3. CollegeSwipe's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (19 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CollegeSwipe sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. TPC Connect asks for nothing beyond the download.

TPC Connect holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CollegeSwipe has 19 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

TPC Connect ships an update every 6 months, CollegeSwipe monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
