# StartLights vs Ringforge

The clearest difference is ads: StartLights at none against Ringforge's shown. StartLights also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 2 months) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StartLights sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Ringforge sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StartLights ships an update every 11 days, Ringforge every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
