# Remote Controller vs Split Mate

The clearest difference is update cadence: Split Mate at weekly against Remote Controller's every 3 weeks. Split Mate also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Remote Controller sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Split Mate sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Remote Controller ships an update every 3 weeks, Split Mate weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
