# Espresso Notes vs Beanstats

The clearest difference is update cadence: Beanstats at every 10 days against Espresso Notes's every 5 weeks. Beanstats also leads on iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Espresso Notes sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Beanstats sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Espresso Notes ships an update every 5 weeks, Beanstats every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
