# Capela vs PlayStories

The clearest difference is monetization model: Capela at free with in-app purchases against PlayStories's subscription. Capela also leads on ratings volume (155 vs 4) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 5 weeks). On rating, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Capela against 5.0 for PlayStories. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Capela has 155 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Capela ships an update every 10 days, PlayStories every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
