# Moovi Play vs DramaStory

The clearest difference is review sentiment: DramaStory at 88% against Moovi Play's 8%. DramaStory also leads on ratings volume (3 vs 1). Moovi Play's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.0) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Moovi Play sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and DramaStory sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Moovi Play holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 8% of Moovi Play's written reviews are positive against 88% of DramaStory's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Moovi Play ships an update every 5 weeks, DramaStory every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
