# Root vs proQueue

The clearest difference is rating: proQueue at 5.0 against Root's 4.2. Root's advantage is ratings volume (121 vs 1) and chart position (#98 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

proQueue holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Root has 121 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Root ships an update weekly, proQueue every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 11, 2026.
