# AladdinVPN vs VPNET

The clearest difference is rating: VPNET at 4.5 against AladdinVPN's 4.2. VPNET also leads on ratings volume (35 vs 5). AladdinVPN's advantage is review sentiment (27% vs 19%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

VPNET holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPNET has 35 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of AladdinVPN's written reviews are positive against 19% of VPNET's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AladdinVPN ships an update every 3 weeks, VPNET fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
