# B.U.B.B.A. vs Protocol Zero

The clearest difference is monetization model: B.U.B.B.A. at freemium against Protocol Zero's subscription. B.U.B.B.A. also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Protocol Zero's advantage is ratings volume (201 vs 2) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 10 days). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. B.U.B.B.A. sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Protocol Zero sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

B.U.B.B.A. holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Protocol Zero has 201 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

B.U.B.B.A. ships an update every 10 days, Protocol Zero every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
