# Scan Things vs ClearMind

The clearest difference is rating: ClearMind at 5.0 against Scan Things's 3.9. ClearMind also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). Scan Things's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scan Things sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ClearMind sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ClearMind holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scan Things has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
