# PicPet vs Valid

The clearest difference is ads: Valid at none against PicPet's shown. Valid also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly) and chart position (#19 vs unranked). PicPet's advantage is review sentiment (90% vs 79%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PicPet sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Valid sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $12.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for PicPet against 4.8 for Valid. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Valid has 12K ratings behind it against 1.4K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 90% of PicPet's written reviews are positive against 79% of Valid's.

PicPet ships an update weekly, Valid every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
