CallMate helps you arrange a simulated incoming call when you need a moment to yourself or a polite way to step away from a gathering or meeting. All calls are simulated on your device. CallMate does not make or receive real phone calls. FEATURES Customize caller names, optional numbers, and photos. Start a simulated call immediately, with a countdown, at a scheduled time, or by shaking your device. Answer or decline on CallMate’s own clearly labeled incoming card. After answering, use the simulated session timer and Finish simulation button. Choose light or dark appearance and an optional session card background. Available in English, French, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. SCHEDULING Keep CallMate open to show the simulated incoming card automatically when your countdown ends. When the app is in the background or your device is locked, a local notification reminds you instead. Tap the reminder to open CallMate and start the simulation. Allow notifications to receive these reminders. System Focus and notification settings may silence or delay them. The in-app cue respects silent mode; it does not play in the background. PRIVACY Caller details and pictures stay on your device. We do not collect or upload your information. Photos and Camera are optional and used only for caller pictures or an optional session card background. There is no microphone, real audio connection, CallKit, or VoIP service. For entertainment, demonstrations, and personal reminders. Do not use CallMate for fraud or impersonation.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CallMate at none against Sumomo's 2. CallMate also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). Sumomo's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.
