# KeyBean vs GlassTerm

The clearest difference is update cadence: GlassTerm at every 5 days against KeyBean's every 7 months. KeyBean's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (16 vs 18.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. KeyBean sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per year and GlassTerm sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

KeyBean ships an update every 7 months, GlassTerm every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
