# FoxNote vs AI Notes

The clearest difference is monetization model: FoxNote at free with in-app purchases against AI Notes's subscription. FoxNote also leads on ratings volume (341 vs 2) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). AI Notes's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FoxNote sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and AI Notes sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AI Notes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FoxNote has 341 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FoxNote ships an update fortnightly, AI Notes every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
