# FoxNote vs TaskMate Planner

The clearest difference is rating: TaskMate Planner at 5.0 against FoxNote's 4.5. FoxNote's advantage is ratings volume (341 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FoxNote sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and TaskMate Planner sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TaskMate Planner holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FoxNote has 341 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FoxNote ships an update fortnightly, TaskMate Planner every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
