# FoxNote vs NeuroBlock OS

The clearest difference is rating: NeuroBlock OS at 5.0 against FoxNote's 4.5. NeuroBlock OS also leads on update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). FoxNote's advantage is ratings volume (344 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FoxNote sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and NeuroBlock OS sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NeuroBlock OS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FoxNote has 344 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FoxNote ships an update fortnightly, NeuroBlock OS weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
