# Chapstar vs Cherry Novel

The clearest difference is rating: Chapstar at 5.0 against Cherry Novel's 4.7. Cherry Novel's advantage is ratings volume (18 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chapstar sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Cherry Novel sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $39.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Chapstar holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cherry Novel has 18 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Chapstar ships an update every 9 days, Cherry Novel fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
