# FOWIRL vs Sidequest

The clearest difference is review sentiment: FOWIRL at 75% against Sidequest's 18%. FOWIRL also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 weeks). Sidequest's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 3.3) and ratings volume (215 vs 3). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sidequest sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. FOWIRL asks for nothing beyond the download.

Sidequest holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sidequest has 215 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of FOWIRL's written reviews are positive against 18% of Sidequest's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FOWIRL ships an update every 6 days, Sidequest every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
