# timespent vs Solarday

The clearest difference is update cadence: timespent at every 4 days against Solarday's every 3 weeks. timespent also leads on ratings volume (175 vs 16) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. timespent sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Solarday sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for timespent against 5.0 for Solarday. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: timespent has 175 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 98% of timespent's written reviews are positive against 100% of Solarday's.

timespent ships an update every 4 days, Solarday every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
